ECC started out as a timeshare claims firm, but ten years of stratospheric success have inspired them to branch out far wider
The European Consumer Claims universe
ECC in 2026 consists of multiple brands, offering multiple services, including:
- Timeshare Advice Centre
- Holiday Park Advice Centre
- Retirement Property Advice Centre
- Overseas Property Claims
Some of these names will be familiar, others perhaps less so. So let’s examine the roles of ECC and their brands in order to understand how they operate and relate to one another.
The parent company
European Consumer Claims formed in 2016 to challenge and seek compensation for people who lost money to the out-of-control timeshare industry. The company achieved swift success and gained a reputation as a leader in the field.

To date, ECC has won tens of millions in compensation awards for mis-sold timeshare owners. Thanks in large part to this determined company, many of the largest and most powerful offenders have been forced to close their doors, meaning holidaymakers can once more enjoy Spanish resorts relatively free of harassment.
ECC’s UK office is a smart Thameside address but the firm has been highly active in the USA with offices in the timeshare capital of Fort Lauderdale, and their global HQ operates out of a giant administrative hub in the sunny south of Spain.
Timeshare Advice Centre (TAC)
Not everyone who has been mistreated by a timeshare company has a realistic claim. As unfair as someone’s experience may feel to them, if their situation does not meet certain complex criteria, they are unlikely to win their case.
Unfortunately many fraudulent companies understand the desperation felt by people who lost money to timeshare companies, either through high pressure/dishonest selling or illegal contracts. The fraudsters target these people, who have already been cheated, and promise unrealistic solutions to their problems. Those solutions naturally never materialise, dealing yet more heavy financial blows to people already reeling from their timeshare misfortunes.
Timeshare Advice Centre offers a free advice service to anyone who wants to investigate their realistic compensation options. After a no obligation consultation with a TAC expert, you will know whether you have an authentic chance of claiming compensation. If TAC tells you that you don’t have grounds for a claim they will also tell you the reasons why not. This information should shield you against future devious cold callers.

If you do have a potential claim, TAC will offer you the chance to discuss your case further with an ECC consultant who will subsequently quote you a fee for the service.
The ECC consultation is entirely optional. And it is entirely your choice whether to engage ECC for the claim itself.
Holiday Park Advice Centre (HPAC)
Building on the success of TAC, the Holiday Park Advice Centre tackles similar mis-selling issues in the holiday park sales sector.

Many of the issues faced by holiday park lodge owners are remarkably similar to those encountered by timeshare owners.
- Mis-selling
- Massive reduction in resale value
- Out of control annual costs
- Unfair and previously unrevealed extra charges
The amount of lodge/static caravan owners in the UK is similar to the amount of timeshare owners (around 400,000). The cost of a lodge can however be many times that of a timeshare membership.
HPAC advertises across UK radio networks and operates in a similar way to the TAC team. Free consultations, honest and in-depth assessment of your individual situation, followed by a no obligation quote for those people in a strong position to win compensation from their former park.
HPAC is already seeing great early success in this sector, including a recent £180,000 win in the high courts for a client mis-sold by a disingenuous smaller, family run park.
Retirement Property Advice Centre (RPAC)
The sad thing about working for a successful consumer claims company is the consistent revelations of corporate greed and opportunistic behaviour at the expense of vulnerable consumers.
The other side of that coin is the satisfaction gained from writing those wrongs and bringing financial justice to those who have given up hope. This is where Retirement Property Advice Centre comes in.

Like timeshare and holiday park victims, retirement property owners are being covered extensively in the media and for sickening reasons. Major developers are being accused of deceit over (yet again) dishonesty, resale values and ongoing costs. These are companies that are being entrusted with the care of our vulnerable, elderly relatives.
The amounts of money being lost by families are truly life altering. Many times greater than even holiday park losses.
RPAC and their legal partners are taking a firm stand on behalf of our clients against some of the biggest British retirement community property developers involved and consider this some of the most important work we have ever undertaken.
Overseas Property Claims (OPC)
Brits buy properties all over the world. In Europe they buy in many countries such as France and Spain. By way of example the top foreign purchasers of Spanish property over the last 20 years with an estimated over 200,000 properties bought since 2006. In the pre-Brexit peak year of 2008, Brits accounted for 38% of all non Spanish buyers.
Brits who bought properties abroad often did so via a mortgage. These mortgages were regularly mis-sold, with unfair clauses and conditions which are only coming to light now.
Even many years after the property deal is done, buyers can potentially be due significant cash refunds.
Overseas Property Claims offers the same, obligation-free assessment to anyone who bought an overseas property as TAC, HPAC and RPAC do for timeshare, holiday park and retirement community property clients.

The assessment costs nothing. If you are a client who used a mortgage to buy property overseas, you will either discover that you are owed some money, or you will know that you definitely are not (and have the information you need to avoid falling prey to scammers in the future).

“ECC is a dynamic and continually evolving organisation,” says CEO Greg Wilson. “Our achievements to date are due largely to our ability to anticipate and develop potential new markets, enabling us to then excel in them. We have historically made bold, considered decisions which have proven to be the right ones, for example when we expanded into holiday park claims and then retirement community property cases.”
